Postnatal Mental Health Support

If you are struggling emotionally during pregnancy or after birth, these services specialise in perinatal mental health support.


Specialist support for parents experiencing mental health challenges during pregnancy or after birth, supporting families with children aged 0–4 years.

Services include assessment, treatment and support for bonding, attachment and early parenting challenges.

Breastfeeding Support

Breastfeeding can come with questions, challenges, and moments of doubt. Support is available 24 hours a day.


The Australian Breastfeeding Association provides 24/7 breastfeeding support via their national helpline, online chat and local community groups.

Parenting & Family Support Services

Parenting does not come with a manual. These services provide practical guidance, counselling and community connection.


Queensland Child Health Nurses provide free support for parents with babies and young children.

Services include developmental checks, feeding support, sleep guidance and parenting advice through community health centres.

Free and confidential counselling and support for parents and carers of children aged 0–18 years.

Parents can speak with trained counsellors about parenting challenges, behaviour concerns or family stress.
